Mattermost v7.8 is now available
This new Extended Support Release includes updates to Boards filters and groups.
Mattermost v7.8 Extended Support Release is generally available today.
With this latest release, we’ve added improved filters and groups for Boards. More options for viewing your boards means more ways to break down the data to understand your team’s workload, report on progress, and quickly see what is in flight for a given sprint.

Improved filters and groups
Easily find tasks assigned to you or a team member. You can now filter by person and multi-person properties. Need to find tasks due soon or within a certain date period? No problem: You can also filter by date properties. To filter by a person or date, you must have those property types already on your board, then go to Filter > Add filter and select the person or date property you wish to filter by. Use the modifiers to get even more granular results.
Looking to get a visual of all tasks broken out by individual team members? You’re in luck. Boards now supports grouping by the person property, so you can easily see who’s working on what in one single view. To group by person, you must be on a kanban or table view with a person property on your board (multi-person is not yet supported), then go to Group by, and select the Person property. Your board will now group cards by people who are assigned on the selected person property.

Mattermost v7.8 extended support release (ESR)
Due to our cancellation of the v7.6 December release, we released all of the new latest features in January with v7.7. We have decided that our new ESR v7.8 is releasing in February. v7.8 ESR will be supported until November 15, 2023.
We have also extended the support of v7.1 ESR to May 15, 2023.
