Mattermost v10.0

Extending Microsoft Teams and M365 platform to accelerate mission-critical workflows in defense, government and vital services at scale

In Mattermost v10.0, accelerate your enterprise workflows and bolster resilience with a collaboration hub that integrates people, processes, and technology for mission-critical work.

Maximize your Microsoft investment for technical and operating teams

Speed mission-critical outcomes by supplementing existing investments in Microsoft Teams, M365, and Entra ID for everyday collaboration with Mattermost’s specialized workflow platform for technical and operational teams needing advanced customization, toolchain integration, and deployment to segregated networks.

Mattermost for Microsoft Teams solutions enable single sign-on and group management in Entra ID to unify user management and access control in the M365 environment, integrated Outlook calendaring, and the ability to launch integrated Microsoft Teams video and audio call meetings from within Mattermost. Mattermost now officially supports the Microsoft Calendar plugin and the Microsoft Teams plugin, conveniently pre-packaged for ease of deployment.

Accelerate situation awareness in mission-critical environments

Increase cross-organizational alignment and awareness by flowing information and requests from users in the Microsoft Teams general-purpose collaboration environment to technical and operational staff working in highly secure Mattermost environments while complying with custom security and compliance requirements.

Mattermost for Microsoft Teams eliminates communication silos and reduces response times by enabling a new fully supported Generally Available (“GA”) capability to securely flow messages from Microsoft Teams into Mattermost to share information and requests across environments in real time.

Mattermost can be deployed along-side general collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams in mission-critical contexts, such as to protect and segregate sensitive information or offer out-of-band incident response workflows. That means data can and should flow into Mattermost, but should be restricted from leaking outside of your protected Mattermost environment. The Mattermost for Microsoft Teams integration facilitates the one-way flow of chat and group chat notifications into these mission-critical contexts without compromising your sensitive data in Mattermost.

Furthermore, Mattermost Playbooks will soon be available as an add-on application to your Microsoft Teams environment in the AppSource Marketplace, ensuring active incident updates and critical information flow smoothly back to the broader organization using Microsoft Teams, keeping stakeholders and partners informed. Mattermost v10.0

Interoperate while meeting security and compliance needs

As an additional layer of security, Mattermost administrators can safeguard incoming data against malicious links or file attachments originating from less secure parts of the organization.

Mattermost’s Responsible Messaging Interoperability Framework (RMIF) is an extensible security and policy protection framework that adds protections, transformations, and filters to information processed in Mattermost, including messages delivered by the Mattermost for Microsoft Teams integration. This framework enables URL and file filtering so Mattermost administrators can further secure notifications flowing into Mattermost from Microsoft Teams. RMIF includes event reporting so organizations can track and adapt the effects of RMIF to ensure a good user experience while also enforcing critical policies.

Mattermost’s Responsible Messaging Interoperability Framework will be available as a technical preview. Please reach out to [email protected] to get more information.
