What Matters to You? Introducing Our New User Feature Idea Portal

We have rolled out “What Matters to You?” a new feature idea and feedback portal for our community and customers to collect your feedback! You can access our new portal at: https://mattermost.com/suggestions/

In addition to providing your free-form feedback, we also have a few opportunities to provide direct feedback on some things we are considering and looking for input on now. This may include signing up as a beta tester on a feature, reviewing a design, participating in a survey, or voting on new product ideas. The portal will be updated often as we continue to get new ideas to validate!

What kind of feedback can I share?

Here are some examples that show the range of input we love to get:

  • Feedback on an existing feature:
    • Example: “I’d like to automatically assign Playbook tasks to specific users in the outline and not each run.”
  • New Feature ideas:
    • Example: “I’d like the ability to schedule a channel post for a later time, so I don’t disturb my peer who is in a different timezone and is not currently at work.”
    • Example: “My team would like to track velocity on our sprint planning Focalboard in Mattermost.”

Using Productboard for better alignment with our roadmap

We have previously been using UserVoice, but have since adopted Productboard. Productboard offers the ability to gather free formatted ideas and input, and also allows the Product team to better communicate features that are planned or in progress since Productboard is our road mapping tool.

We do ask that you provide your email when you add feedback. As we progress on the solution design and development of a feature, we’d love to send you updates so you can follow along in real time.
